So I loved The Maze Runner series and couldn't wait to start on this one. I love how Tick is proactive, and gets done what he needs to get done. Even though, as a parent, I appreciated Tick's relationship with his dad, I'm not sure it is all that true to life for most 12-13 year old boys. This book has an interesting plot, but the book itself was not very interesting, and seemed more like a buildup for the next book. But we will have to continue to read the series to find that out.
